Because of her passion for communicating breakthroughs in science to the general public, Dr. Aziza launched her career in television while working on her Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics at the University of Maryland at College Park. As a science and technology fellow at CNN in Washington DC, she gained hands-on experience writing, reporting and producing science-based news segments for CNN’s newscasts. She also later managed to squeeze-in a short internship at the Discovery Health Channel before wrapping-up her Ph.D. studies.  

Upon completion of her Ph.D., Dr. Aziza became a regular science correspondent for Evening Exchange with Kojo Nnamdi on Howard University Television, PBS Channel 32 in Washington, DC.
